At the same time, many companies think the solution is simply to adopt a management software tool, but without a structured method, even the best tool becomes useless. We are driving serenely, but suddenly traffic slows down to a complete stop. No accident, no apparent cause-just a small change in speed at a point miles away that has generated a total gridlock. This phenomenon, known as a <em>phantom traffic jam<\/em>, is a perfect metaphor for what happens in multiproject environments.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In business settings, <strong>disruptions<\/strong> are frequent and often underestimated:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sudden changes in design specifications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Redefining priorities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inclusion of new activities without proper planning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reallocation of resources, causing imbalances in workload.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These events, mistakenly thought to be inevitable if managed with a structured vision may not have the disastrous impact that sometimes happens.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Managing_multi-project_flow_work_lanes\"><\/span><strong>Managing multi-project flow: work lanes<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Just as there are dedicated lanes on the highway for vehicles with different needs, in a multiproject environment we can imagine three levels of management:<\/p>\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Right Lane<\/strong> &#8211; Complex, long-term projects that require stability and dedicated resources. They are not slow, they are big! <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Middle Lane<\/strong> &#8211; Intermediate projects, which have a major impact but do not need the same depth as the more strategic ones.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Left lane<\/strong> &#8211; Fast-paced, short-cycle projects that need responsiveness and fast execution. Fast-tracks, nonconformities&#8230; <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To maintain an efficient flow, it is essential:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Avoid unnecessary overload and disruption <\/strong>by adjusting the entry of new projects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Manage interactions between lanes<\/strong>, preventing different projects from adversely affecting each other.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Set clear rules<\/strong> on which projects have priority and which must wait for available space.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Method_and_tool_Wepladoos_integrated_approach\"><\/span><strong>Method and tool: Wepladoo&#8217;s integrated approach<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is where <strong>the method<\/strong> comes in.
